How to Install Peel and Stick Wallpaper
Installing a wall mural can be an exciting way to add some personality and visual interest to a room. We are providing step-to-step guide to make the installation hassle free.
General Preparations
Here are some general preparations you should consider before installing a wall mural:
Clean the Wall: Begin by cleaning the wall thoroughly to remove any dirt, dust, or grease. Use a damp cloth or sponge and a mild detergent to wipe down the surface. Allow the wall to dry completely before proceeding.
Smooth the Surface: If the wall has any rough spots, bumps, or cracks, use a spackling compound to fill them in. Once the compound is dry, sand the surface with a fine-grit sandpaper to smooth it out.
Prime the Wall: Apply a coat of primer to the wall surface. This will help the mural adhere better and also prevent the wall from absorbing too much moisture from the adhesive. We recommend waiting for at least 2 to 3 weeks if you recently primed or painted the walls.
Measure and Mark: Measure the area where you want to install the mural and mark it off with a level and pencil. This will help ensure that the mural is centered and level.
Gather the tools: You will need the following tools:
- Tape measure
- Sharp knife
- Plastic squeegee smoother or plastic card
- Plumb line or spirit level
- Pencil
How to install a Wallpaper or large mural?
Layout of your mural
Unroll the wallpaper and separate the tiles. Identify each panel and arrange in the hanging order on the floor. Each tile is numbered at the bottom left.
IMPORTANT: Layout panels to check image match before installation. If you notice any inconsistencies within the print please do not install.
Hang the first panel
Ensure the first panel is hung straight. This is vital for successful installation of your mural. Please make sure the first tile is hung, and carefully smooth away any bubbles or ripple using a soft brush or squeegee.
IMPORTANT: Do not pull or stretch the material during installation. Work from the top and allow the wallpaper to fall naturally to avoid scratches.
Overlap the wallpaper
When hanging multiple tiles, your mural is printed with 10 ml overlap. Visually match the image at the join and smooth out. Adjust the position until the pattern completely matches.
IMPORTANT: Use the seam roller or a squeegee to ensure the product is well bonded at the join.
Repeat until finished
Continue the previous stages of each tile until all panels are installed. Trim away any excess wallpaper using straight edge and sharp blade. Sit back and enjoy your hard work.

That’s a $175 fee which will be deducted if you end up ordering a large project with us. Our team will come, bring samples, ideas, measuring the wall, and test the vinyl’s graphics. Through the site survey, you will get an idea about the material type and sizes. Our team will take the measurements and will also show you the options.
